I'll be There

“Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1)

Just like the song I'll be There, God didn’t tell Abraham what his destination was until he and his family arrived in the land of Canaan. God was simply sending Abraham to a place over there and He was saying, “Abraham, get up and go NOW, for you’ll know where you’re going when you get there.” Abraham was obedient to God’s call, and when he got there, God said, “Now you’re there!” And what is the reward of his obedience? God blessed Abraham with the famous blessing that we as descendants of Abraham enjoy “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you will BE a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you ALL the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

In order to be obedient to do what God has called us to do we do not have to get all our ducks lined up in a row or our finances together. There may be times when it takes money to do what God has called us to do, but we tend to get it all backwards because God wants our obedience. When we get to the place of obedience, God will meet us there. God won’t meet us and require that we give up everything we have to get there for the place of obedience is also the place of abundant provision. When we get to that place called there, bam, things start to kick up another notch without Emeril and they begin to happen. We don’t have to pay for it, for when we get to the place of obedience, God begins to surprise us with His provision. God’ll send it supernaturally, exceedingly,
abundantly, miraculously, incredibly, and incessantly. All we have to do is believe God and His Word, praise Him and thank Him, and laugh in the face of adversity.
