The Majestic

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in the heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head above all.” (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Jim Carrey may have starred in The Majestic, but all the power, splendor, and greatness of men are nothing compared to God Almighty. The God Who walks and talks with us, the One Who loves us so much He sent His only Son to die for us, is great, powerful, glorious, victorious, and majestic. God’s got more majesty than Queen Elizabeth and He’s more Royal than the Tenenbaums. He rules over all, He upholds all things by the Word of His power, and He is exalted over all. His is the kingdom, the power and the glory, and all things in heaven and earth are His.

In light of your misfortunes, setbacks, afflictions, sorrows, and suffering, lift your head up and look up to God for the Bible tells us that God is in total and absolute control. His greatness is unfathomable, His power is invincible, His glory is tremendous, His victory is more Undisputed than Wesley Snipes and His majesty is beyond description. In 1 Chronicles 29:12, David continues, “Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all.”

In Psalm 75:7, Asaph wrote “But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” God is the Master of the Universe Who rules over all, and He has a word for the wicked in verses 4-6, “I said to the boastfuls, ‘Do not deal boastfully,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn. Do not lift up your horn on high; Do not speak with a stiff neck.’ For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.”

The boastfuls or wicked who rebel against God are warned not to carry out their evil plans. They consider their success and prosperity their own, as a result of their skills, power, or schemes. They speak in an arrogant manner with no regard for the truth of the Word of God or the rights of others. But Psalm 75:10 says that God would cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. If you are facing injustice, sickness, debt, poverty or oppression and the enemies appear to be have the upper hand, commit your situation into the mighty hands of God for Romans 8:31 says, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
