The TransporterBinding his donkey to the vine, and his donkeys colt to the choice vine, he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes. (Genesis 49:11). In the summer 2002 action movie The Transporter, a courier specializes in delivering packages anywhere, no questions asked. Troubles start only when he begins to ask questions. Similarly, the donkey is The Transporter, an animal of commerce in Jesus day and still is in many parts of the world. The donkey was used to carry goods of all kinds and it was known as the beast of burden. Jesus told His disciples to untie the donkey which had never been ridden on before for He had need of it. Go into the
village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied,
on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone
asks you, Why are you loosing it? thus you shall say to
him, Because the Lord has need of it. (Mark 19:30-31)
This donkeys colt, like a new car, played a prominent role in
Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem. After three and a half
years of ministry, Jesus did not choose a used donkey with high miles,
but He chose a brand spanking new vehicle of commerce to deliver His
most important display of glory. Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
