They All LaughedA
merry heart does good, like medicine: but a broken spirit dries the
bones. In addition, His Word in Proverbs 15:15 says, He who is of a merry heart has a continual feast. It is the will of God that we all laugh, so that well have good health and have a continual feast or overflowing abundance. We need to enjoy laughter because all of us will face a tragedy, failure or setback sooner or later. When tragedy strikes, there is a loss of innocence, a loss of hope, and it is a real test of our faith. God has promised us that He will restore for all the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Restoration has different stages from the root to the fruit. The people who trust God, obey His Word and walk with Him daily deal with setbacks in a very different way. They may ask, Why has this happened to me? But then the joy of God begins to rise up in their hearts, bringing with it strength and a faster restoration process. Jesus said in John 16:33, In Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Because Jesus Christ has overcome, we can too and enjoy the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. The joy of the LORD is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Laughter is good medicine, there is no FDA approval, no clinical trials, no side effects, no co-payment, no prescription needed, we cant overdose and in fact, the more we take, the better we get. We need to laugh, have the last laugh, and laugh all the way to the bank like Seinfeld, because our prosperity and wholeness is no laughing matter.Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries.
