Chamber of Secrets

“I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I the LORD, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:3)

Harry Potter may fool around in the Chamber of Secrets, but God the Master Potter will reveal to us the hidden riches in His many Chambers of Secrets as well as give us the treasure of darkness from the wicked in these last days. What we perceive as the dark times of sickness, poverty, shame, isolation, debt or oppression are actually meant to be treasures from God. They are actually hidden riches stored in secret places.

We cannot see those times for what they are because of the pain and suffering or fear that prevents us from accepting these times as treasures. They have a divine purpose from God’s point of view so that we may know that He is the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls each one of us by our name. Unless we are thrown into the lions’ den like Daniel or the fiery furnace like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in which we are totally at God’s mercy for breakthroughs or miracles, we will never experience the power of God or His faithfulness to deliver us. We will never know how personal, how caring, how giving or how loving God really is, or that He can be trusted to meet our deepest needs.

The Bible or the Word of God is full of the wisdom of God, riches hidden in secret places that we’ll never discover if we don’t meditate on it day and night as we are commanded to in Joshua 1:8 so that our ways will be prosperous. Every chapter, every verse, line upon line, precept upon precept is a Chamber of Secrets from God Almighty with different levels of wisdom, knowledge and revelation that can only be unveiled as we seek the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we spend time in the Word.

God wants each of us to know that we are called by name, that every tear we shed is in His bottle, that every thing we do is written in His book, and that every hair of our head is numbered. More than Sting or The Police, our all-knowing God knows every breath we take, every step we make for He is watching us. The agape love of God for us is limitless, and He will take every opportunity to demonstrate this boundless love to us. If God has brought you into a place of darkness, then learn to trust Him to reveal the hidden treasures that can only be found in this darkness as you spend time in His Word to seek His face, and let God call you by name.
