Citizen King[God] has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13) In the 1941 Orson Welles movie Citizen Kane, the life of the powerful newpaper magnate Charles Foster Kane who died alone in his mansion Xanadu is revisited through the accounts of many who knew him. Our last names may not be Kane, but all of us are made in the image of God to be kings and priests (Revelation 1:6) and we all can be Citizen King in Gods kingdom. While this is the truth from the Word of God, many believers limit God unknowingly by fixing their eyes on the scarce resources of this world rather than the infinite riches of Gods kingdom. Their faith fails when they think of the stock market, their 401k, Enron, WorldCom, inflation and the perceived shortages that surrounds them. In the middle of their mounting debt, sickness, poverty and oppression, they wonder, How will God deliver me? But the good news which we must share with others is that the Bible says God has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his Son. To be conveyed or translated means to be taken out of one place and put into another. That is, our citizenship is not on earth. We may be American, British, Chinese, Swedish or Russian but as believers we are first and foremost a naturalized citizen of the kingdom of God. The earth cannot dictate whether our needs are met or not because the Bible says God will meet our needs according to His riches in glory. (Philippians 4:19) We can live by heavens limitless economy, not the earths economy which can be manipulated. Wake up and smell the abundance of heaven thats been made ours through the Blood of Jesus and enjoy the fact that weve been beamed up from of a world of poverty into a kingdom of abundance. Be thankful, praise God and rejoice, for heavens unlimited wealth are ours.Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe: eddyn@earthlink.net
