Exit Wounds“‘For I will restore health to you, and heal you of your wounds’, says the LORD.” (Jeremiah 30:17) In the 2001 Steven Seagal movie Exit Wounds featuring the rapper DMX, a good Detroit cop goes after bad cops who sell heroin to drug dealers. Unlike Steven Seagal, God doesn’t want us to have any exit wounds, emotional wounds, financial wounds or any kind of wound because He wants us well. In fact, God wants all of our wounds to exit our bodies and He wants us healthy in every aspect of life. God wants us to be spiritually strong, strong in faith, strong in the Word of God as we use Strong’s Concordance, strong in salvation, and strong in the love of God. We may not be Russell Crowe, but God wants us to have A Beautiful Mind, to be intellectually strong, mentally sharp, emotionally stable, and full of joy. God wants us to have a will that is subordinated to His will which is His Word. God wants our bodies to be well and free from pain, suffering, diseases, sickness, and injuries. The truth of the matter is, God wants us to be whole and free from the worries and anxieties of this life as we cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) so we can serve Him. God wants us well, and He needs us to be whole and well and living in victory and healing so we can show others how to do it as we preach the gospel of salvation. We’re entering a time when this kind of Word knowledge is a necessity for total life prosperity because there’s no more time for us to hop along, uninformed and unprepared for the devil’s insidious attacks. The further we go in fulfilling the Great Commission, the more the devil will attack us so we’ll have to grow in the realities of redemption and living by faith in order to live in the overcoming way God has planned for us as more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37) Jesus gave His life at the cross and He was raised from the dead on the Third Day, ever making intercession for us so that we can be well. Jesus wants us to be healthy and strong as a witness of His love, power, and grace in these last days to a world that’s filled with war, sickness, poverty, witchcraft, oppression and terror. With this revelation, we need to receive Jesus’ healing power, start applying it by faith, and commit ourselves to getting well and whole with nothing missing, nothing broken in every area of life today.Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries.
