Money TalksAnd it shall be, when you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall take some of the first [10%] of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the LORD your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to make His name abide. (Deuteronomy 26:1-2) In the 1997 comedy Money Talks, a small time crook Chris Tucker made a deal with Charlie Sheen the TV newsman for protection from the cops and the mob. Unlike Hollywood, money talks real loud when we have a relationship with God and that's why most believers are not too excited when it comes to tithing. But they should be if they understood how to do it properly so they can live in the land of plenty. Biblical tithing shows that we obey the Word of God to the letter and it stirs up faith because it activates Gods power in our lives when we do it in gratitude and joy, expecting our needs to be met abundantly. In Deuteronomy 26:8-10, God told
the children of Israel to say a prayer when they brought their tithes.
He reminded them that He had brought them out of Egypt and commanded
them to say: So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty
hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs
and wonders. He has brought us to this place and has given us this land,
a land flowing with milk and honey, and now, behold I have brought the
firstfruits of the land which you, O LORD, have given me. Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe: eddyn@earthlink.net
