Joe Millionaire

“The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand.” (Genesis 39:2-3)

Although Joe Millionaire is a TV show on Fox with high ratings about a construction worker pretending to be rich to attract single women, God has the ultimate power to prosper us as we prosper our souls by spending time renewing our minds with His Word. (3 John 2) Nobody is richer than God, and it is God’s will to prosper us, but He won't do it by deceit, theft, manipulating the market, warmongering, writing a check or dumping $100 bills from the sky.

God does it by prospering our souls like He did for Joseph. God will sow the seeds of prosperity in our mind, will and emotions, and as they grow because we meditate on His Word, they’ll produce a financial harvest of immense proportions. When Joseph was sold as a slave, he was broke. But right in the middle of his bondage, God gave Joseph such wisdom, favor and ability that he made his owner Potiphar prosper. As a result, Potiphar put Joseph in charge of all his household and possessions.

Later, Joseph was locked up in prison because he resisted Potiphar’s wife, but God gave him such favor and insight that landed him a job in the court of Pharaoh as the Prince of Egypt, the most powerful man in the empire next to Pharaoh himself. During a seven-year famine that he prophesied, Joseph the world’s first central banker was in charge of all the food, and the wealth of the world was transferred to Egypt, and of course Joseph.
