Ballistic“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; he leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake” (Psalm 23:1-3) The shepherd boy named David became a man after God’s own heart, a man so spiritually strong that God anointed him to be king of Israel. David was just resting with the sheep, singing praises to God and meditating on His goodness and mercy when suddenly God’s revelation came upon him with the words, “The LORD is my Shepherd!” David faced death for the sheep, he led them where pastures were green and waters were still. He anointed the sheep's head with oil to prevent injuries. His rod and staff protects and guides the sheep. David did not do a Clinton where he misused his rod to comfort his staff. When the lion and the bear came, God prepared a table before him in the presence of those enemies. God gave David victory over the beasts. “My God will fight for me. The LORD is my Shepherd! My cup runs over [abundance of prosperity], surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, I have more than enough and I shall not want!” When Goliath tried to mock Israel, David went after him without any armor but with only a sling and five smooth stones. Goliath couldn’t scare David because he had a revelation from God Almighty that said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for God is with me.” That enabled David to say, “I come against you in the name of Jehovah Sabaoth, the LORD of Hosts.” David went Ballistic without Antonio Banderas or Lucy Liu and sent a smooth stone at warp speed into Goliath’s head. David was much more than a shepherd or conqueror, he was the world's first Smooth Operator long before Sade can sing. If the devil is out to destroy you, don’t be infantile, get a projectile. Go ballistic, meditate on God and speak His Word. Give thanks, sing praises and fellowship with God until the revelation of who He is, His glory and power starts to thrill your soul. Then plead the Blood of Jesus and tell the devil, “You’re not going to touch me, my family, children, body, soul, business, ministry, relationships or finances. The LORD is my Shepherd!” Be like Pat Benatar and Hit Him With Your Best Shot, with the rock of revelation knowledge from the Word of God, and the devil will be stoned every single time.
