The LoverBeloved, if
God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. In the 1991 movie The Lover, Jane March is a young French schoolgirl who broke all barriers to have a steamy love affair with Tony Leung the rich Chinese in 1929 French colonial Vietnam. While that may be Hollywoods interpretation of erotic love, there is absolutely nothing more important than learning to love God’s way. In fact, how accurately we perfect the love walk will determine how much of the perfect will of God well accomplish because every other spiritual fruit in Galatians 5:22-23 like joy, peace, kindness and patience is derived from love. The Bible says that faith works by love, and answered prayer is impossible when we step out of love, refuse to forgive or is in strife with others. Without the agape love of God, our tithing and giving won’t work, faith fails, knowledge is unfruitful, speaking in tongues is unproductive, and prophecy has no meaning at all. All the truths that we will ever learn from the Word of God work by love, and they won’t benefit us unless we are Down With Love like Renee Zellweger and live the love life every day. The Bible in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
portrays a clear picture of the God kind of love. Love is patient and
kind, does not envy, does not parade itself, and is not puffed up. Love
doesn’t behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, and thinks
no evil. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
endures all things. Love never fails because God is love. Copyright © 2003 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe: eddyn@earthlink.net
