Prophecy

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29)

In the 1979 horror movie Prophecy directed by John Frankenheimer, a timber company’s waste products mutates the environment, creating a giant killer bear mutant who finds humans unbearable but appetizing. We may not all prophesy, but we’re living in the most exciting days the earth has ever seen where mutants like X-Men United are raking it in at the box office.

All around us God is pouring out His Spirit in preparation for the endtime harvest and spiritual revival that will usher in a new era of glory. Some of us are standing by as spectators, watching God does all the work. Others have committed themselves and have become what the Bible calls menservants and maidservants of God. They are those who, instead of being content to be born-again children of God, have gone the extra mile and stepped into servanthood out of love for God. They want to be involved in what God is doing in these last days. They want to be His full time servants, available at His beck and call 24/7. Those who make that powerful decision are experiencing the great outpouring of God’s Spirit that the prophet Joel mentioned and Peter preached in Acts 2.

They are the ones whose Holy Spirit-inspired words of teaching, revelation, wisdom, prophecy and prayer are releasing God’s power on earth. They are the ones whose God-inspired words are opening the way for incredible signs and wonders. God wants us to be among them and in fact, He needs us to be. God needs those who will cut the tie that binds them to this natural world.

God needs people He can trust to call in the middle of the night for prayer, healing and intercession. People who will get up and witness, do good works, study the Word, support ministries, preach the gospel, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons no matter what. That’s the depth of dedication Godly servanthood requires. It’s a demanding role but its rewards are immeasurable and eternal.

Those who are willing will be God’s hands and mouth on earth in these last days. They will be vehicles of God’s Holy Spirit and for the outpouring of His mighty power. They will be vital players in the Holy Spirit’s greatest and latest production of Shock and Awe and The Bible Reloaded. If mutants like the X-Men can be united and make a fortune, so can we, and we’ll be blessed by God many times over. So decide now to become one of them, and take the Leap of Faith into servanthood for God our heavenly Father today.
