Lethal Weapon“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17) No weapon formed against you shall prosper. No concealed weapon, no secret weapon, no assault with a deadly weapon. The good news of the gospel of salvation is that NO weapon —no sickness, no debt, no poverty, no circumstance, no AK, no job loss, no divorce, no deadly disease, no anthrax, no revenge, no conspiracy, no extortion, no kidnapping, no spooks, no suitcase nukes, no Big Brother, no terrorist, no crime, no evil, no collateral damage— that rises against you can bring you down. A believer was facing a lawsuit a few years ago. He prayed this scripture and agreed with others that it was the final word, not the allegations against him. He stood in faith, believing that the lawsuit must fail. When he went to court, he won. He didn’t win because of his dream team of lawyers. He won because he was innocent and because he had believed that powerful promise of God. Every tongue which rises against you in judgment [verbal or written] —be it a tax lien, a bank or wage levy, a derogatory credit, a lawsuit, an allegation, a gossip, a slander or libel, a proposed assessment, a wrongful collection— you shall condemn for this is your heritage. The next time the devil attacks you in some area of your life, don’t sit around crying and begging God to save you. Open up your Bible to Isaiah 54:17 and remind yourself of God’s promise. Use that to strengthen you against sin, sickness, fear and every other evil work the devil is using to keep you bound. Establish yourself through prayer and fasting, plead the Blood of Jesus and say out loud, “LORD, I refuse to fear this weapon against me because I know that according to Your Word, it shall not prosper. I trust You to protect me, I believe I receive it and I thank You for it now. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.” Do not let the power of God’s protection go to waste. It is much more powerful than any weapon the cartels, mafias, or international bankers can put together. Speak it into existence in your life. Name it and claim it for it is your rightful heritage as a child of God [much more so than for His servants]. You have at the tip of your tongue the most lethal weapon in the world for legions of God’s angels heed your spoken Word to execute it and they excel at doing so (Psalm 103:20). You need to lock and load daily by meditating on the Word and speaking faith-filled Words from the Bible. It is no wonder that death and life is in the power of the tongue.
