Three Kings

The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you [or serve you with their wealth and power]; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy [from the Hebrew chesed which means lovingkindness or grace] on you.” (Isaiah 60:10)

The 1999 George Clooney movie Three Kings is about four American soldiers in the aftermath of the Gulf War who set out to steal gold that was stolen from Kuwait by the Iraqis, only to discover civilians who needed their help. George and his buddies Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube were the three kings in the movie, but God has much more than three kings ready to serve us with their wealth, power and influence in these last days.

Isaiah 60 shows us ways where we can step up to a new level of faith in our walk with God by raising our expectations. Like the Charles Dickens novel Great Expectation, we are to expect a vast supply of abundance for Isaiah 60:6 says, “The multitude of camels shall cover your land....they shall bring gold and incense.” That means if we’ll expect it, they will come for God has tons of supply for us, far beyond what we have. Genesis 24:61 tells us how Isaac received a fresh load of blessing from God when Rebekah showed up with a convoy of camels loaded, and reloaded, with goods and gifts for her husband. God’s abundance came rushing into Isaac’s life like a flood, and it can come into ours too for God is no respecter of persons and it is His will to “make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations. You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, and milk the breast of kings.” (Isaiah 60:15-16)

Next, we need to expect to walk in the favor of God for Isaiah 60:10 declares, “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to [or serve] you.” Expect God’s favor like we’ve never expected it before, because time is short and we need to find new and creative ways to preach the gospel of salvation to the nations on earth, and that takes favor and lots of power, influence and money.

Finally, we can expect the gates of provision to open and stay open because Isaiah 60:11 says, “Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles [people who don't know God or obey His Word], and their kings in procession.” This is talking about not just The Doors, but the gates, the Bill Gates of blessing that are wide open so we all can be wide receivers.

When we make everything we do a seed we sow to God for His glory—our love, hugs, kisses, gifts, money, time, talent, devotionals, or prayers—we have a Bible right to expect the windows of heaven to open wide. The moment we sow a seed, it goes into the hands of God, and something supernatural called the harvest is loosed in the spiritual realm. Don’t settle for the nickle and dime and welfare checks of God’s provision, have Great Expectations and expect to reap big as we sow so we can live in God's abundance and limitless supply.
