Step Into Liquid"This beginning
of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and
His disciples believed in Him." (John 2:11) When Jesus was ready to perform His first miracle, He asked the servants to give the only liquid asset they had, water. He asked them to sow out of their need and give what they had. In obedience to a rather ridiculous command, they stepped into liquid and poured the water into the six large stone jugs that the Jews used for purification. When they poured out the liquid, it was not just any wine, but the richest and the very best wine that was not to be served before its time. Instead of saying, Dude, wheres my wine? the master of the feast complimented the bridegroom on his saving the best wine for later. In the covenant God made with Abraham and his descendants, the firstfruits or tithe of each harvest were given back to God to build His storehouse, and through the offering of more seed ABOVE the tithe He could multiply back His blessings. But through the years the children of Israel began to drift from tithing and the law of seedtime and harvest, and miracles began disappearing from their lives because they robbed God of His tithes and offerings. (Malachi 3:8-9) Only in isolated instances did God find people who were willing to tithe and sow seeds of faith. But with Jesus miracle of water into wine at the wedding of Cana, all things changed. The wine was not to be Jesus only miracle, but it represented a lifestyle of miracles for each of us. God wants us to live in His Blue Crush miracle flow where blessings come in on every wave and crush us until we are blue in the face. Instead of hang ten, we should have a board meeting and hang ten percent back to God. When we return to God His holy tithe and then sow additional offerings, we have a Biblical right to expect God to step us into liquid as He pours out His bountiful blessings upon us.
