All The President’s Men“Therefore
I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
(1 Timothy 2:1-2) The command is plain and simple, but in these End of Days after 911 when America is so desperately in need of God’s guidance, most of God’s people don’t do what that verse commands. Most likely it is because so many of us are so busy putting SELF, pleasure, business and family on the throne. We may think: “How could we let Arnold, The Terminator, Kindergarten Cop, Commando and Predator who likes True Lies control the world’s fifth largest economy of California when he is such a womanizer and whose father was a Nazi?”, “How could my prayers cancel the budget deficit or national debt?”, “How could we let Bush get away with the Gestapo-like Homeland Security Office and the unconstitutional, unpatriotic Patriot Act and its sinister sequel?”, and “How could my faith bring U.S. troops home who were poisoned by the radiation of depleted uranium and affect America’s oil driven imperialistic foreign policy?” It is not enough for a leader to go to church, carry a Bible, pray in front of a camera, and look holy, but his actions must show love for mankind and obedience to the Word of God. The sad truth is, we fail to pray because we have been bewitched and bedazzled by the controlled media and fail to realize just how powerfully our prayers can affect America the beautiful or any country that we reside in. God is bigger than any media mogul, banker, financier, kingmaker or president, and it’s time we realize that if we would just obey the Word of God, there’s no Council on Foreign Relations of any kind, no king, no president, no prime minister, no dictator, not junta, no strongman, no puppeteer, no parliament, no Congress, no packed Supreme Court, no anything nor anyone who could overthrow God’s purpose for His people. God has called us to intercede, and He has commanded us to pray for those in authority and bind evil spirits in the corridors of power in the Name of Jesus. God has given us His Word, His power, the Holy Spirit, the Blood and the Name of Jesus, His authority, and His faith. We have all the tools necessary to pray effectively for our government and its leaders. It is your responsibility as a believer to get involved in the affairs of your country to remove evil, sinful men from high office and bring Godly and honest men to rule and reign for the kingdom of God. God wants to take back America, and the only way He’s going to get it is through His obedient soldiers like you. America has a divinely appointed role to evangelize the world and fulfill the Great Commission of Mark 16:15, so pray for America and your nation daily, and never, ever again underestimate the immense power of prayer.Copyright © 2003 Eddy Ministries.
