Enemy at the GateNow there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, Why are we sitting here until we die? (2 Kings 7:3) No matter how strong
the enemy is at your gate, how bad the problem you may be facing today,
no matter how troubling the circumstances surrounding you, you can be
back on top in no time! Thats exactly what happened to the Samaritans
in 2 Kings 7. Their land was being ravaged by famine. Enemy troops had
surrounded them and cut off all source of supply. Parents were becoming
Hannibal the cannibal just to survive. But in the midst of that, God
told the prophet Elisha that in 24 hours the whole situation would change.
Many of us are like the Samaritans in that story. We get so centered on our problem instead of on the Word of God. We let ourselves be so surrounded with the loud voice of the world that the vision of our victory is pushed out of sight. When that happens, faith and power begin to subside and life caves in on us from every side. If that has happened to you, stop crying about it. Stop looking at your problem, stop looking at the barbarians at the gate and feeling sorry for yourself. That wont change anything! Just like He did for Elisha, God has given you a word. He has promised you victory, He has promised to make you an overcomer and more than a conqueror. And you can find all these wonderful promises in His Word. So dont just sit there till you die. Dont accept defeat. Rise up in faith. Stand up on Gods Word and take back what the devil has stolen. Give satan a black eye by walking in love. Cast him out and bind him in the mighty Name of Jesus. Get mad at sickness, lack and oppression. Get angry with strife, poverty and debt and start giving. Meet your need by sowing a seed! You dont need a sniper like Jude Law taking aim at the enemy. All you need is to rise up and receive the deliverance that God has promised you in His Word! Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
