Rock N RollCommit [roll] your works [and worries] to the LORD, and your thoughts [and plans] will be established [and succeed]. (Proverbs or Mishlei 16:3) You may be on the edge of a major decision, about to make a change in your job, business, family or personal life. You know you need divine guidance. And you’re hoping desperately to hear from God. If that’s your situation, don’t panic. Being led by God isn’t some complicated process that only the spiritual masters can master. When I was a new believer, I wanted to live in a way that was pleasing to God, but I didn’t know how to make decisions that were in line with His will. Then one day God spoke to me in Proverbs 16:3. I meditated on this verse and began to use it and I can tell you from experience, it works! God is NO respecter of persons. It will work for you if you’ll do what it says. Roll your works over on God, commit your ways to Him, trust them wholly to Him. He’ll start adjusting your thoughts to be like His Word until, at some point, you’ll just know the right thing to do. Of course, faith is involved. One of the requirements is trust, and you won’t be able to do that without feeding daily on God’s Word. Then as you practice rolling your works upon the LORD and trusting Him, you become more confident in your ability to hear. Start now with whatever problem is bothering you. Pray and trust God with it. In other words, believe you receive when you pray. Stop worrying and begin believing so you can start receiving. Live this way and it doesn’t matter whether you’ve been a Blood-bought baby believer of 10 minutes or a veteran of 40 years, your plans shall be established and succeed according to His Word! You may not be Mark Wahlberg or Bono, but you are now a Rock star. God is El Sela your Rock (Psalm 42:9). He is the Rock of Ages. God, not Alcatraz or that wrestler/actor or the white rap star, is the Rock. You are ready to rock and roll for your salvation is based on the Rock, and you can roll your works upon the LORD.
