Has no known resting place. Memorial photo available. Wounded with a bullet through the left hand in 1917 and had another brother serving (Harry Moody). Previously a butcher with Welfords of Scalby before enlisting and prior to that, of Plows butcher shop in Filey. His officer, Lt. G. W. Johnson wrote to his parents "It is with deep regret bthat I have to inform you of the death of your son, Private F. Moody of this battalion. He was killed instantaneously on 26th October and consequently suffered no pain". The officer additionally said that although he understood it would be difficult fior the parents to bear the news but that "He was alwyas cheery, and will be greatly missed by his comrades."
