Died during Passchendaele campaign. Has no known resting place. Grave Photo available. Formerly 174599, Royal Field Artillery and had enlisted at the same time as Pte. Crimlisk. Died after a shell burst over Pte. Overfield and several comrades. Previously worked as a market gardener on Scarborough Rd. Brother in law to Harold Crimlisk. Mentioned in the Scarborough Mercury (Filey News) on 26th October 1917. |
