Tom Holland KILLINGBRECK(17962, Private)

Married to Eliza (full name Elizabeth Isabella) and lived at 2, The Kitts, The Beach.  Enlisted into the 9^th Battalion, (Prince of Wales Own) West Yorkshire Regt. in late 1914 and was sent out with part of his battalion as reinforcements to the British and ANZAC forces on the Gallipolli Peninsula.  Within a short space of time, during the fourth phase of the Gallipolli campaign, he was hit by a bullet and never seen again.

Initially, he was posted M.I.A. (Missing In Action) and was eventually remembered on the Helles Memorial.  His obituary appeared in the Scarborough Pictorial on 8^th September 1915.
