Having
lived at 2, Mitford
Street with his mother, George was the final Filey
casualty connected with the Royal Naval Reserve, as his boat the Emmanuel Camelaire
was still being used for operations in March 1919. He died whilst the ship was just outside Falmouth harbour; this was the main trawler and drifter
centre for the Royal Naval Reserve in WWI and was buried in Falmouth Cemetery.
