We have been active with the Importing, Titling, Showing and Breeding of Top Quality German Shepherd Dogs since 1989. Our kennel “von Jagenstadt” was originally registered in Huntington, Long Island. That is how we chose our name which translates to “from the hunting town“. Our family relocated to the beautiful tropical city of Boca Raton Florida in 1995. Our dogs and puppies have always been raised with our family of four children, and continue to be an important part of our everyday lives.
We are a USCA Registered Kennel and are members of the AKC (American Kennel Club), SV (German Shepherd Dog Club of Germany),
FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale),
USCA (United Schutzhund Clubs of America),
GSDCA-WDA (German Shepherd Dog Club of America - Working Dog Association).
We will only import from, and breed to, dogs from kennels that follow the strict regulations of the SV. All of our breeding stock must have achieved VA or V ratings in the show/conformation ring. They must all have a minimum of a BH, AD, and Schutzhund (SchH), and or International Prufungorden (IPO) Working Titles. Both the Sire and Dam must be breed surveyed with a rating of Koer Class 1 (Kkl 1), the highest recommendation for breeding. All of our dogs, and the dogs we may breed to have had their hips x-rayed and evaluated under the German “a” Zuerkannt, and or the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and The University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHip) to assure that we have taken every precaution towards breeding dogs free of hip Dysplasia.
All of our puppies are guaranteed to have sound health and temperaments and are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
We are dedicated to producing the “TOTAL” German Shepherd Dog. We strive to breed top quality puppies that are healthy in both mind and body, and free of genetic disease. Show Homes, Working Homes, and Pet Homes are all equally important to us. We hope that our puppies will bring many years of good health, happiness and enjoyment to their new families. As a small kennel our involvement with the German Shepherd Dog breed is a privilege and a love. We breed to advance the quality of the breed, not the quantity.
