VIDEO: "Shaun of the Dead" featuring "Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking" by Snow Patrol
English highlights with some European sounds.
So this upcoming weekend at the movies might be the toughest one yet this summer... at least for me personally it is. This seems to be the first weekend of the year where there are two films out that I can't quite decide between seeing first. Of course, I'm talking about The Expendables or Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Sure, the Expendables is going to be the awesome combo of the Rocky & Rambo movies with every other type of steroid and pyrotechnic thrown in for good measure, but the video game come to life vibe that Scott Pilgrim gives off is definitely something that I'm excited to see play out. Plus, with Edgar Wright behind the camera in his first American made movie following Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz, I am very eager to see what kind of crazy clusterfuck English/Canadian/American culture vortex is created by Scott Pilgrim.
The more I talk (make that "attempt to talk") to people about Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz, it seems to be while people know the names, they are still slightly hesitant to jump in. This might have to do with the English-to-American lingo changes, maybe blood & guts isn't there bread & butter, whatever the reasoning may be I decided I needed to make a concentrated effort to help ease people in to the stylings of Mr. Wright, and to show that even with stories of violence and apocalyptic zombies, it's the characters who drive it all home in surprisingly realistic fashion for the ridiculous scenarios they find themselves in.
So without further ado, in honor of Edgar Wright and to get you pumped for SCOTT PILGRIM vs. THE WORLD (in theaters August 13th), Dizzle presents to you "Shaun of the Dead" featuring "Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking" by Snow Patrol. Check it out.
