Deer
A crown of branches, worn as adornment reaching skyward
Large kind eyes, shining the sweetness of a soul married to the earth
Graceful dancer of forests, blending in with trees
Leaps and flies through fields of high grass
Pressing hoofs into the earth, a perfect heart-shaped print
The earth feels a lovely clip clop upon its body
Deer kisses the earth with her muzzle, near to the sweet soil and dew
The sun folds down over the deer’s body, pouring out solar energy
Delicately biting leaves and flowers
Breathing in flowing breezes
Long soft ears alert to sounds and rhythms
Nuzzling close to deer friends, exchanging stories, heartbeat to heartbeat
Walking along a rocky path, gliding down the bending slope
Curving around a tree, following along the river
A daily routine, a well worn path
Familiar scents, familiar creatures on the way
