April 26th - 27th, 2008: American Indian Council Annual SPRING PowWow Lebanon, IN
Our next Pow Wow is April 26-27, 2008. This is an exceptional Pow Wow because of who we are honoring. This will be a Memorial Pow Wow dedicated to the memory of Sterling "Ted " Big Bear (5/47 to 1/07) from the White Hawk Drum. Sterling is missed but he will never be forgotten for the drum beat he has left in our hearts. The Sterling Big Bear family will be having his giveaway.
4-H Fair Grounds Community Building. - Open to the Public. - Singing, dancing, food, culture, art, crafts and above all, fun! - Starts: 12:00 AM on Saturday, April 26th 2008 - Ends: 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 27th 2008 - This Pow Wow is open to the public. - Admission is $5 ages 13-59 - $2 ages 6-12 and seniors ages 60+ - Free for ages under 6 - Free for registered dancers (register upon arriving at front desk) - Head Dancers: Matt Wamsley and Heather Sears - Head Veteran Dancer George Martin ... Located at EAGLE CREEK PARK on the Northwest side of Indianapolis just off Interstate 65 and 71st street at the EAGLES CREST 7201 Fishback Rd. - Take 56th street west to Raceway road turn right and follow on up. 56th street is only available to northbound I - 456 traffic only.
