Physical Description:
S'tar is an attractive young man, with most of his good looks stemming from
his ever ready smile. He has brown hair with reddish tints, and brown eyes
that look the color of honey in the light. He is tall, and though lanky as a
teenager, has filled out nicely. He dresses well, often in dark blues and
blacks.
Abilities, Strengths, Weaknesses:
S'tar was trained from an early age to be a weyrman by Perone herself, who
covered everything from diplomacy to organization. He is at ease with people
and is able to make them comfortable with him. He's patient and usually
good-natured, but derogatory remarks about the weyr, Perone or greenriders may
arouse his ire and cause him to be unreasonable. He is a good dancer, moving
with graceful ease.
Personality:
S'tar is friendly, charming, polite to a fault and always ready with a smile
and a laugh. The only time he becomes moody is before Truth rises, as her
moods affect her rider. He takes on authority naturally after his years as
weyrman and weyrlingmaster, and though the responsiblities of those years
often weighed heavily on him, he sometimes misses them. Though he enjoys many
pursuits, his favorite pastime is to do nothing, relaxing with Truth and
enjoying a quiet moment. To some this may appear lazy, but S'tar is always
attentive to duty first and none who actually know the man would accuse him of
slacking. He also enjoys socializing with the younger inhabitants of the weyr;
the candidates and weyrlings. Earlier in his life this meant he would often
take his laundry to the lake and do it himself, chatting with the candidates
who were doing chores. Later, it led to his becoming weyrlingmaster. Though he
enforced his rules and demanded excellence from his pupils, he was
understanding and eager to help and thus was well liked by the weyrlings, who
knew they could come to him with difficulties.
History:
S'tar was born at Last Hope Weyr, to none other than the infamous Cookie. She
has never seen fit to tell him who his father is, and so he does not know. He
was raised in the nurseries with the other weyrbrats, and never knew
preferential treatment as the headwoman's son. He became a favorite of the
older children, though, and was treated affectionately almost as a mascot,
"their S'tar."
When he was 12, Corath rose for the last time and laid a single egg. Perone
hand-selected S'tar as the candidate for the egg and began training her
protege in earnest. Though everyone else met the hatching of a mere green with
despair, Perone proclaimed the little hatchling the Green Queen Truth, the
salvation of Pern. Though many scoffed, Perone never wavered in her support of
the boy and his green dragon and S'tar grew to admire her and look to her as
his mentor. When S'tar was 15, Truth rose for the first time. She was caught
by Perone's blue Wrath and -- to the amazement of all -- she clutched and laid
a gold egg. Truth continued to rise, Wrath continued to catch her, and Truth
continued to clutch. Last Hope Weyr began to thrive once more under Perone's
bold leadership.
When Wrath was lost, S'tar and Truth grieved more than anyone but Perone
herself. When Truth next rose, she was caught by Dlan's brown Esoth. D'lan
proved a capable weyrleader in his own right and a friendship and respect
developed between him and S'tar.
Three turns before the fateful storm in which the handful of riders were lost
for 15 turns, the gold Elemeth rose and so did Truth. The two battled for the
chasing males until the two queenriders and the other dragons were able to
separate the queens. The flights were completed and, though Truth was sorely
injured and S'tar frightened, no permanent damage resulted. The double
hatching proceeded with relatively few complications.Shortly after the double
flight, S'tar made the decision to step down as weyrman and allow Lyeora and
Elemeth to take the position while he became weyrlingmaster.

Physical Description:
Truth is a stunning sea-green color, her hide even giving the effect of the
changing sea. She is small and lithe and exceedingly graceful, almost liquid
in her movements. She is renowned for her aerial acrobatics, though she lacks
the stamina of larger dragons.
Personality:
Though greens are known for their fickle emotions, Truth has only one mood:
bliss. She is always friendly, always happy, always content. She is, of
course, moody just before a mating flight. She is well loved by all who know
her. While many queens become broody and even dangerous when clutching or
during hatching, Truth welcomes all who wish to admire her clutches provided
they do no harm.

How did your character acquire this pet: When he was 10, S'tar found a
firelizard nest in the forest while helping harvest fruit and took one of the
eggs.
