Holds and Halls of Pern Many Holds of Pern were destroyed when thread started falling regularly. The people of Pern moved from these substandard settlements in favor of more defended homes. These are the Holds and Halls of Pern. Last Hope Hold
Lord Holder - Ferohnin the Wher Lord (still
flashy as ever)
Lady Holder - Open
Description: After Tahor's death, due to a
prolonged illness, this once Wherleader became Lord Holder. He swiftly
proved his might to the Conclave and anchored his postition. Last Hope
Hold has become the gateway to the Southern Continent. An academy
opened, the crimson guard was reformed and renamed. Now the Wher Guard
aim to protect the public in this crowded Hold of Pern. Last Hope Hold
is now the biggest hold, hoisting a variety of crafthalls.

Description: A small hold near Last Hope Hold
that is home to the South's dolphincraft. The Lady Raphiella is a
Journeywoman dolphineer that leads many search and rescues. They often
come to the aid of fishers from the crafthall in Last Hope Hold.
Tyrnis Hold
Lord Holder - None
Lady Holder - Rhamsei the Scarred Lady
Description: This woman became Regent when
her husband Tyrnis mysteriously died. Died choking on a piece of
mutton that was too fatty to chew properly. She has proven herself a
good ruler, but has a vendetta against Perone of Last Hope Weyr. It is
her view that Perone stole the Jeserath from her. That the gold dragon
should be hers. She will rule until her son Yohru's 25th birthingday.
Wher Hold
Holder - Lucien
Lady Holder - None
Description: The whole purpose of this hold
is to breed whers for minercraft use in Tyrnis Hold and in other spots
throughout Pern. This is the only place the beasts are bred, except of
course the wild. Holder Lucien has control over one of the breeding
golds.
