-Isand
Katri’an
-The Shadehands is the only existing Rogue’s Guild in the city of Chandreskahr, having forced out all competition. The membership has risen exponentially since Isand (known as ‘Kat’) took the leadership nine years ago, as has their influence. Comprised of all types of rogues from street beggars to assassins to cat burglars, the guild also counts a small number of warriors, bards, and a growing complement of clerics of Ma’estra among their numbers.
-Approximately
800
-The guild deals in such things as organized crime, blackmail, black market goods, and information. Isand has the guild’s fingers in virtually all trade that goes on in the city in some way. Her network includes members of the court, the merchant houses of the city, and the city guard. It is rumored they have even penetrated the local garrison of the White Plume Legion. One thing they do not tolerate (and work to prevent) is the trade in slaves. Slavery is outlawed in Chandreskahr, and Kat is bent on stamping out the flesh market altogether.
-A
gray hand against a black background.
Members of the guild may wear a symbol, but may also show their
allegiance by a tattoo on one hand, or even by wearing one gray or black glove.
-Chandreskahr. The guild owns and operates taverns, inns,
gaming houses, houses of ill repute, etc.,
throughout the city.

Moore
-The Three Moons is a loose alliance of merchant families who influence trade throughout the seven baronies and beyond.
-Supreme
Commander Aryzar Glenley
-The
White Plume Legion is the standing army of the kingdom of Eretria. With barracks and garrisons spread
throughout the seven baronies, they maintain order, uphold the laws of the
king/queen, and serve as advisors to the military leaders of the baronies. The Legion can also serve as investigators
and constabulary, though they prefer to allow the baronial militias and guard
units adequate time to serve this role.

-The
Deathspeakers are a fundamentalist splinter cult of the church of the dark god
Melkor. Vicious and cruel, its members
are recruited from the ranks of those who worship the foul god. Its members are chosen for their cruelty and
cunning, and are taught to enjoy the administration of pain and woe.
-Unknown,
believed to be anywhere from 100 –500.
It is believed the core group numbers no more than 50.
-The
Deathspeakers believe in spreading the doctrines of Melkor by murdering and
torturing anyone who does not share their beliefs. They are the radical right wing of the church and even some clerics
of Melkor have denounced their methods.
Usually those who have done so have been found slain in some
extraordinarily gruesome fashion. Their
main goal is to release hordes of the denizens of their dark god into the
world, thereby eradicating all nonbelievers.
To do so they also research ancient texts and rituals, explore forgotten
places of power, and ritualistically sacrifice clerics of Melkor’s enemies.
-The
spiked chain of Melkor, though it must be worn around the neck with the spikes
penetrating the flesh.
-An
unholy forgotten temple of pain somewhere in the Eastmarch of Barony
Chandreskahr.
-
Unlike what its name implies, the Carnivale is a smuggling and black market
organization that operates under the cover of several different merchant
houses. Their trade involves things
such as stolen goods, slaves, and objects the owners wish to sell without
paying a tax on them. Few admit to
belonging to this organization, though there are some ship captains who, while
out of reach of retribution, fly a black and white checkered flag.
-Unknown
-The
Carnivale operates throughout the seven baronies and beyond. The full extent of their operation is
impossible to judge.
-A
black and white checkered mask, though its members oftentimes merely wear an
article of clothing that is black and one that is white.

population and shipping centers of the baronies, and the open seas and some
foreign ports.
-Lady Selena del Valle

The Order of the Gray Knights is a collection of paladins and good-aligned
warriors who uphold the ideals of Elric Wolfsbane. Never numbering more than 200 members, the Knights spend their
time in the theories of science, history, arts, and the martial arts. They debate law and philosophy, and act as
advisors to courts and constables. Some
are wanderers, adventuring into the wilds and frontiers of the baronies. Though having no official allegiance to anyone,
they are supportive of the current king and have fought beside his troops in
battle. Lady Selena is a foreigner from
the Savage Coast. She became enamored
of the story of Elric Wolfsbane and has dedicated her life to his memory. She is a powerful leader, with well-honed
skills in combat, etiquette, diplomacy, and the arts.
