It's difficult to learn to cope
There's so much to say
But I'm 1 line away

**Downright Depressing Poetry**
Black Light
The first explosions, gaudy and loud
Bring anticipated oohs and aahs
But as the sparks fall away,
Darkness is left behind
And worse, a billowing cloud
Has appeard, dirty and ugly.
The fireworks continue,
But they thinly conceal this drifting monster
New explosions, greater, flashier
Only feed and expose it.
When the show ends,
The admirers drift away,
They have not seen the darkness,
Or perhaps will not.
But I watch as it grows and spreads,
And think, this is my life.
