Dreamcast LIVES!! So you thought NHL 2K2 was the last US Dreamcast game did ya? Well think again!! There are as we speak 4 yes 4 games being developed for Dreamcast to be released in the US within 2003! The First is called Feet of Fury. Its in the same genre as Dance Dance Revolution but it has more of an emphasis on Vs. Play as apposed to Dance Dances more important single player mode. The multi-player will remind you of classic multi-player games like Tetris and Dr. Mario. As your opponent gets the beat down and you start to struggle with the tune your arrows will begin to move faster and start to wave back and forth. But if you can keep the rhythm you can make it out without looking like John Travolta at a rap concert. Plus FoF (Feet of Fury) will work with the DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) dance pad that came out in Japan and is all over Ebay for as little as $20. It should be out Q3 2003!!! The second of the 4 new games on the way is Mike Siecieska's Motocross. What is being called the first game in a series of games to be produced and published by Cyberdog Castle for the Dreamcast in 2003 Motocross "is a moto-cross game based around a Western New York rider who besides lending his name to the project is also involved in its development." "I'm working with Mike to make sure this game is unlike any other game ever created for this genre. This isn't just a rehash of the same dirtbike racing formula.", says Mickey McMurray, Cyberdog Castle's president. "It is a truly unique gaming experience that I am sure gamers worldwide will appreciate." Not much more is know at this point but as soon as more is known we will update with the latest. Number 3 is a game I don't really know much about but I wanted to let all my Speshal friends know what I know. The folks at OlderGames.com have announced that they have a Dreamcast game on the way called "Hell Hotel". They had announced that they would also be releasing "Half-Life" but when a bootleg version started making the rounds on the net the owner of OlderGames became a bit of a baby and canned it along with all future Dreamcast project except for Hell Hotel.. He even cried about it a little bit on his message board!! Thats right because he wanted to release Half-Life but a bootleg version leaked out he canned all future Dreamcast games to!! What a little girl... To be honest I think letting the bootleg out there and letting people play it a real release would have sold better anyway. I know I have a copy of it and I still was planning on buying the "real" release. Either way Hell Hotel is expected in early 2004. Hopefully GoodDealGames or some other company can get their hands on Half-Life and we will see it soon. Now on to the forth and to me the most exciting of all the new Dreamcast releases. It is going to be released by our friends at www.gooddealgames.com and is a compilation Disc of games that were created by small development studios and some by just one or two people who have an interest and ability to develop for the Dreamcast. What are being called "Homebrews" these games can range from amazing to crap but from what I have been told if its not fun it wont make it on the disc. An early version will be available at E3 this year and the actual release will follow soon after. Keep an eye out here and at gooddealgames to find out which games will make the cut and which will be left on the cutting room floor. Keep checking back to Da wEbSiTe FuNnHoUsE for updates on these and all future SEGA Dreamcast releases. YAY!! Speshal bonus for all the friends of the funnhouse!! Here some great AIM Dreamcast
Icons for everyone out there!! They are also great for message boards to!! :) <<Back To Main>> |
