Welcome to my site. I started building motorcycles right out of high school and raced for a few years before I decided to give up motorcycles and find a safer hobby. I then started building VW bugs, buggies, buses, ghias, and doing an occasional restoration. But alas, I coulnd'nt get motorcycles out of my blood so I found the best way to do both! I build trikes using VW powerplants and transmissions, but instead of building a frame myself, I use Harley-Davidson style frames and attach them to my VW parts and viola!
I use tried and tested plans from AVG Engineering, they don't offer kits and dont have any tech lines or customer service, you just buy the plans and you're on your own. It's not that difficult to do it yourself if you have about 200 to 300 extra hours to spare.
Well, I do have that time and I have 10 years of VW building experience and about 8 years of experience building motorcycles.
