PROS:
The anime is seriously funny, everything dark schneider says is laughable, even when he's trying to act normal. The Plot is very straight forward and doesn't confuse anybody.

CONS:
It shows a lot of depreciation towards women. Also there's way too much sarcasm.

The plot goes like this, Dark Schneider gets resurrected back from the dead, through an innocent kiss between the princess and the 13 old boy. Meanwhile the castle is under attack and the king wants Dark Schneider's help, even though he sent him to hell last time. And now he stands against dragons, and armies of soldiers trying to dominate the world. Dark Schneider becomes so evil that he tries to destroy everyone, even the king. Dark Schneider might be on his own, but he's not about to let his old army, his old generals, and his ex-girlfriend show him up. Besides his new girlfriend is counting on him to win against them all. All he tries to do is have some fun while dominating everyone. He eventually overcomes all odds and tricks by his generals to win on any circumstance.

The film shows some great plot that I have not seen in any other anime before. The whole kiss thing I thought was a great idea and it works real well since that little boy needs to kiss ladies to become Dark Schnieder. Dark Schneider is quite the best character in the film. His portrayal of a tough guy with humor is so amazing, as he laughs constantly at other people's pain. He also doesn't care about women's emotions that much, all he wants to do with them is you know what, and he has done it with over 400 other ladies in his prime. A lot of these characters seem to live on forever which i found quite odd. But I guess that has that's mythological aspect to it. The princess is also one of those funny characters who feels ashamed naked, but gets in so much trouble and ofcourse gets more naked. By Princess i mean the King's daughter and not the other girl who also may play a big role. The Main princess in this story is like a commanding chief of the army, she tries to be tough, NOT gonna happen. Once again some scene depicts as if she has an orgasm or something, and i don't think that's a bad thing.

Bastard is pretty long, however, you will not fall asleep on this one. There's action after action, battles after battles, and more sex jokes by Schneider. There's a lot of gore in this anime, and they show a lot of blood. There is a small resemblence to DBZ here, as Dark Schnieder has these spells that lead to big fireballs or balls of energy against these monsters. The monsters do look fantastic, ranging from dragons to giant devil looking one. There was very little music I thought. Mainly due to a lot of dialog by all the main characters. Definately buy this on DVD if you're looking for a cool action anime flick.
