Mary's Transplant Photos

Mary's Transplanting

Mary right before the transplant. She is growing her roots up against the plastic cup, so I thought I'd give her a little more room.

A top view.

The Miracle Grow plant food I started to use. The ratio of nitrogen to phosphate to potash is 15-30-30. I was hoping to find some about 15-50-15 but I couldn't. The point is to have lots of nitrogen and phosphate in your fertilizer.

My new pot is in this picture. I think it's just about the right size for a second pot--maybe a little small. When Mary outgrows this one I'll get a huge pot.

The plant in the cup in the pot. I used scissors to cut the plastic cup away from the dirt, but usually people just tap the plant out of the pot.

In this photo you can see the root structure. Isn't it great?!
