History: Remy taught himself to be a theif on the streets of New Orleans, after being orphaned from birth. He managed to survive on his own until he triend to pick the pocket of Jean-Luc LeBeau the leader of the Theives Guilde. He took Remy under his wing and taught him the tricks of the trade, and also adopted him. Gambit also learned a lot from the rival Assasin's guilde. He married Bella Donna Boudreaux, granddaughter of the assassins' patriarch, to create an aliance between the two guilds. Unfortunatly, Julien Bella Donna's brother objected, and Remy had to leave New Orleans to prevent a Guilde war. He survived with his thieving skills, aided by his mutant ability. They began to get out of control, but he ended up doing a deal with Sinister. Sinister syphoned off a lot of power, and in return Remy ended up gathering a team of assasins that killed most of the Morlocks. He then severed his ties with Sinister, and eneded up partnering up with Storm (who turned to stealing while she was an amnesiac theif). When Storm regained her age and memory, she gave Gambit a way of joining the X-Men, and has been a member ever since.
