Short Description Series

This is just a series of short descriptions we had to write for journal entries in 8th grade.

The cold rain softly pattered on the sands of the ocean. The quiet, peaceful valley was surrounded by tall trees covered with moss. The rocks on the beach are slippery and sandy. There is a river that flows through a valley where it is fun to watch the elk. I like to lay by the creek and watch the clouds drift overhead. The mountainous ranges are sparsely populated with beautifully huge, moss covered trees.

The quiet, peaceful valley was surrounded by tall trees covered with moss. There is a river that flows through the valley where it is fun to watch the elk. I like to lay by the creek and watch the clouds drift overhead. Surrounding the valley are mountainous ranges sparsely populated with beautifully huge, moss covered trees. You can hear the ocean from the valley. The cold rains pattering softly on the sand. You can almost see the sandy rocks and water-logged drift wood. The magnificent waves thrashing unmercifully on the shore.

Dear Bob,

You wouldn’t believe the spectacular beauty here in the west. There’s rainforests. Beautiful moss-covered, old growth trees. Shrubs, bushes, and ferns of all kinds congregate in the undergrowth.

Then there’s the ocean, the marvelous Pacific Ocean. With huge breakers crashing upon the shore. Sand, rocks, and wood alike can be found here.

I wish you would come. You really need to visit.

Sincerely,
Kell-Lee
