Today is a day
To see the sky
To soar above
To learn to fly
Today is a day
To believe
Not to question
Not to grieve

To praise the Lord
To lay down our weapons
To put down the sword
Today is a day
I’ll not forget
When I stood
In the parapet
Today is a day
When I’ll decide
The road to walk
Or the horse to ride

I choose my path
And deftly avoid
The demon’s wrath
Today is a day
I’ll learn to sing
And learn to fly
On Angels’ wings
Tomorrow’s a day
Unlike this one
And so I’ll live
