Rabbits

Run away, little rabbits
Never to return
Forget your old and dying habits
Or else you might get burned.

Flee tonight, be sure to take
Care to run away
Or else I might be forced to make
A stew of rabbit filet.

Tasty little munchies
Come here to your demise
All soft and squishy with bone crunchies
So good for such small size.

But fly away you must tonight
Or else I’ll fry you to a crisp
Go hide away, stay out of sight
Go melt into the mist.

Fade away and away into the gloom
Disappear into the trees
Come here and you will meet your doom
No! Hide where no one sees.

I want to eat you up tonight
To make a tasty broth
To feed you to the fiery light
And cook your bones to froth.

But no! I give you tonight to run
One less meal for me
Another time I’ll have my fun
Just you wait and see.

But for now I’ll let you flee
Leave this place and hide
Then there’ll be more fun for me
To find your lair with you inside.

Run away, little rabbits
Never to return
Forget your old and dying habits
Or else you might get burned.
