Gradually tearing

Agony gains
Slow possession
Cruelty finds
Old obsession
Blindly serving
A cruel master
Ever falling
Faster and faster
Day fading
Shadows coming
Heart pounding
Soul thrumming
Moon rising
Stars falling
Life falters
Eternity calling
Wounded child
Cruelly marred
Faceless lies
Forever scarred
Recollect now
Bitter history
Tragically wed
With darkest misery
Night gains
Another soul
Wrapped in shadows
To pay your toll
Plummeting downward
Unknown fate
Clawing desperately
But it’s too late
Cannot halt
The descent
Cannot remember
Merriment
Abruptly stopping
Hitting hard
Darkness playing
Its trumping card
Quietly weeping
Try to recall
The time before
The tragic fall
Nevermore
Hearing joy
Fallen forever
To Shadow’s ploy
Love lost
Hatred found
Eternally searching
Forever bound.
