Then suddenly I,
Was able to spy,
A little thing called an elf.
He had a green hat,
And stood on a mat,
Right outside his house.
He had pointed shoes,
And sang the blues,
With his funny little pet mouse.
Then they started to walk,
The elf began to talk,
To his silly pet mouse.
Soon they might,
Be quite out of sight,
Far from their little house.
I began to run,
Having lots of fun,
And followed them far abroad.
I jumped a steam,
And started to scream,
For I’d seen a giant cod.
The cod, he swam,
I, I ran,
Until I was far away.
Then up came a dragon,
He pulled a red wagon,
But soon he walked away.
I walked back to the wood,
Feeling happy and good,
Because of all the things I’d seen.
So I hiked back home,
All along,
Thinking of all the places I’d been.
