Writing helps me to relax,
I write from day to day.
Writing helps me express myself,
So that I can clearly say.
It helps me understand,
My feelings, thoughts, and mind.
People stop to listen,
To my journey to try to find.
Myself within myself,
My other self within me.
That other self teaches me,
That stories, books, and writing is how I see.
The world, my world,
How I figure things out.
Now I think it’s about time,
To end my bout with self doubt.
Writing what I do for fun,
Whether it’s for me or you.
Whether it’s sayings or poems,
Writing just what I do.
