Space Date 013103: Docking Bay HHS, 1630-1830 hrs
Today we (myself and the other volunteer, I'll call her S- for easier reference) actually got to do quite a bit more than we have previously. We started out by temping cats (taking their temperatures), there were only six, so we each took three and it went pretty fast. After that we helped with exams on some of the new cats that had come in today. We learned more about the paperwork and how to fill things out. We also both got to administer Strongid (a dewormer, I believe) to a couple of cats, and trim their nails. Another thing we learned how to do was give fluids, though we didn't actually do it ourselves. The time went pretty fast today, and I believe that we got things a bit more caught up, because even the employees were wandering around looking for things to do. Anyhow, more next week!
