Space Date 042103: Docking Bay OSU VTH, 1100-1300 hrs

Today started out with a horse that had come in showing signs of severe colic, tho they weren't sure that's what it was. They weren't able to do a complete rectal exam because she went down in the middle of it. Surgery was expensive and only a 50/50 chance, and that was only if she stabilized, which didn't look too likely. The owner's decided that the best thing for her was to euthanize her. It was very sad.

After that I spent a bit of time in radiology listening to explanations of some x-rays that had been taken just a little while earlier. Then C-- had me bed down a stall for a horse, and let me tell you, there is a *lot* of sawdust that go in those things!

Then I listened in while an unknown lump on a horse's chin was discussed. Then I wandered around looking for things to do until it was time to go.
