Space Date 050203: Docking Bay OSU VTH, 1100-1300 hrs

Today was a very beautiful day weatherwise, so I went outside as much as I could. There were a couple of lameness exams/evaluations to begin with, so I got to be outside for the first 20-30 minutes or so.

Then there was a horse that was having his tendon on his right front leg, in the metacarpus region, examined. He later went for radiographs. This took most of the rest of the time.

While the ultrasound was being done, I walked around a bit to see what else I could find, and they were just moving a horse (euthanized) to necropsy. It was rather strange to see because they just used a forklift to carry it to where it needed to be. Makes sense, tho, since horses are so heavy and all that dead weight would be heck to try to move manually.

The rest of the time was spent in radiology looking at the radiographs of the horse's tendon. More on Monday!
