Space Date 110102: Docking Bay OSU VTH, 0900-1200 hrs

Today was, in large, boring. There were no appointments scheduled, and only a couple of surgeries. I walked one horse. Oo, oo, oo. ;) I did help with a goat tho. Holding him while he had his catheter removed. This got a little exciting when the vet student I was working with accidentally stabbed herself with the scalpel blade when the goat threw his head around. She was quite worried about the cut for the mere reason that we were near the MRSA positive horse area. MRSA is a very nasty thing, tho I can't tell you what it stands for, it is some sort of virus that is resistant to a commonly used medication, and is very infectious. But she cleaned her puncture with betadine, so hopefully it'll be alright.

Caught the tail end of a scoping and grand rounds *again*. Held a horse while he had granulation tissue scraped away from an old wound and a fresh bandage put on in preparation for a skin graft later. Held a young filly while she was injected with anesthetic. And that would be about it for the day. The rest of the time was spent scraping around trying to be busy. Hopefully Monday will be a little more exciting.
