Space Date 112502: Docking Bay OSU VTH, 0900-1200 hrs

Caught tail-end of grand rounds *again*. Nothing much happened today. Spent most the day in radiology. Discovered they change the people who have badges for radiology every month, and I didn't get one this time, so my time was spent mostly looking at the radiographs. Occasionally I went in and held the horse (yes, only one horse for 2 1/2 hours), and helped position him for shots before dashing out of the room before the shot was taken. That's pretty much it. What they were radiographing for was to see if they could locate the source of bleeding that this horse was having. Kept getting bloody noses, or at least, that's where they suspected the blood was coming from. The closest the doctors could estimate, it was unilateral on the right. (Either that, or as the joke was made, the horse was killing small rodents during the night and shoving them up his nose.) ;) Nothing conclusive was found from the radiographs, so the doctor was going to go back and review the tapes from the scoping to see if there was anything that could have been missed. If that turned up nothing, they would take the horse out and lunge (sp?) him to see if they could get him to bleed so a more definitive answer could be made. That's all for today.
