Pasta Angel

What You'll Need:
-glue or glue gun
-pasta: 1 shell [head], 4 macaroni [halo,arms], 1 bow tie [wings], 1 rigatoni [body]
-1 twist-tie
-white, gold, or silver paint and paint brush
-small square of paper cardboard [music book]

Optional Extras: string to hang up, magnet to stick on fridge

*TIP: be sure to glue the pasta together before painting

How to Make it:

STEP BY STEP PICTURES COMMING SOON...

[1] take two macaroni pieces and the twist-tie and glue them together to make a halo, be sure to sandwich the twist-tie between the two pieces of macaroni. put aside, let dry.
[2] glue shell [head] to rigatoni [body]
[3] glue other macaroni pieces [arms] to rigatoni [body]
[4] glue bow tie [wings] to rigatoni [body] making sure to sandwich the other end of the twist-tie, that's attached to the halo, between the wings and body.
[5] let dry
[6] paint the whole angel desired color, let dry.
[7] fold a small piece of paper to make a small book for the angel to hold. glue to angels arms.

Creative Comment:
These little angels are a hit with the kids! They are easy enough to make, although they do require a little patience. Spend some time with the kids and make your own little angels for your christmas tree.

Teachers Tip:
Have your kids make cards while they're waiting for certain parts to dry. This will help pass the time.

Project Twists:
I've seen some people make these angels using big wooden beads for the angels head, and instead of a halo, they just gave it hair by gluing tiny bits of pasta to the head.

I've also seen kids make other things like giraffes, horseys, and turtles. Let the kids be creative... or the adults too!
