The Launch!!!!!!!
I pulled a Uee and pulled up to the T end of the dock. The dog showed up as soon as we pulled in. Just lookin' for some Luvin' I guess. Really a sweet mutt, but he didn't want a ride. Travis climbed in and we took off.
I swung around in a circle and came by for a picture pass. Travis is sitting on the edge of the bunk, right on top of the center piece. It held up, so I don't know if it needs additional framing. The nose is down a little but still at least 6" out of the water. Those who are extra cautious might find this not enough, but normally both passengers would be in the cockpit while the boat is running and this would raise the nose quite a bit.
Thumbs Up! It pushes a bit of water, but not as bad as I thought it might. I had the motor wound up right here, and we were making about 5-6 kts (?) or so. With the 10 horse that the boat is rated for, I think we would probably have made it up on plane. Notice that Travis is sitting forward of the center of the boat, and if I had brought the resin seats that I wanted to, he would be sitting in the cockpit with me.
It leans a little into the turns, or maybe it was just because I was on that side. It sure is the Biggest little boat I've ever been on. If one were to build a 14' or 16' version, you could actually end up making more boat than you could use, but it would be fun to have. Waddaya think, showers, dayroom, dining room.....
