Figured out how to work the camera and got some more work done on the boat.
This is the layout of the bottom panel (left) and the side panel (right). These will be templates for use later on.
Here are the panels, cut out. Both the parts require additional material, which will be joined with a butt block. Notice the metal piece in the middle. It is an 8' piece of aluminum, 1" wide and 1/8" thick. I use this as a batten, for marking out curves. It works really well, with no fear of breakage. Picture is a little dark, probably from the light coming off the realllllly white styrofoam I used to set off the panels. You can also see the building platform I made, to build boats on. The wheels lock, and for extra stability, I can stick it up on blocks. The building space that I have is kind of narrow, so I have to be able to move the boat from side to side or even Outside (for sanding, painting, etc). See the Platform page for a better view. (Platform page not done yet, keep checking back.)
Here is a picture of the transom, and behind it is a piece of 3/4" ply for the mould
Building continues with pictures on Page 2
