Connecting the parts
Making the parts into wholes. Taping the other side of the butt joints. Used 4" tape 6-8 oz, I forget. Did the work at about 1:30pm. When I checked after work (about 1:45am) the epoxy had fired off and there was only the faintest hint of tackiness left. I was worried because the epoxy is about a year to a year and a half old.
Here's a close up of one of the seams. This is the last piece gooped, and it was just beginning to jell. I was also at the last of the mix. The very last drop I could get out of the mixing container wetted the very last white spot. Either I'm getting pretty good or very, very lucky (the more likely of the two). The pieces of wood underneath are being used as spacers as the other half of the bottom is curing underneath. You can see this a little better in the previous picture. Hopefully I can start stitching on the 11th.
